MAINTENANCE
For Mercedes-Benz classic cars produced between 1980 and 1997 we recommend an oil service interval of:

6,000 miles or 1 time a year if running a full synthetic oil
-
3,500 miles or 1 time a year for vehicles running a regular oil.

The other operating fluids are all on independent schedules depending on engine type, driveline, and transmission.

Engine Oil Service
also referred to as "Lubrication Service"
​
​
Recommended at 3,500 mile intervals for vehicles running regular oil
and 6,500 mile intervals for vehicles running full synthetic oil or at least 1 time per year.

The Engine Oil Service includes the following:​

Engine oil and oil filter change.

Check and correct all engine compartment fluid levels.
-
Check condition of the poly v-belt and hoses.
-
Check and correct tire inflation pressures.
-
Inspect tires for wear and damage.
-
Check brake system and document thickness of brake pads as well as condition of rotors.

Verify proper operation of interior and exterior lighting, horn, wiper/washer system, and sunroof.

Installation of a new oil service reminder sticker.
